The Morgan County High School golf teams competed in the 2021 GHSA State Championship Tournament on Monday and Tuesday. Both teams performed well with the girls closing the event with an eighth place finish and the boys a fifth place.

Reagan Folk led the pack for the ladies shooting a +12 (156) over two rounds earning her a fifth place individual finish at Apple Mountain Golf Course in Clarkesville. Clark Carroll shot a 208 on the tournament finishing in 31st place overall. As a team, the ladies shot a 599 to claim the eighth place finish.

For the boys, the Dogs shot a 693 to earn the fifth place finish at Cateechee Golf Course in Hartwell. Landon Breedlove was the low scorer for the Dogs shooting a +24 for the tournament and closing with a 166. Noah Brown was +26 with a 168.

When asked about the performance at the state tournament, Coach PT Hooten said it was a “great end to a fabulous season.”
