Friday, the Morgan County High School boys golf team traveled to Blackshear to compete in the sectionals tournament at Lakeview Country Club.

Landon Breedlove lead the way for the Bulldogs with an 80. Nate Tanner and Noah Brown both shot an 87. Barrett Adams was the final scored golfer with an 88. The team score of 342 was good enough for third place but more importantly it qualified the team for the state tournament.

In discussing the team’s season, Head Coach PT Hooten said, “The season had many ups and downs with some good and some not so good showings. They knew that their game had to get better to qualify in this new area. I am so proud of these boys for focusing and putting some good scores together to qualify. We have two weeks until the state. I think the boys can do even better there.”

The state tournament is at the Cateechee Golf Club on Lake Hartwell May 17 and 18.
