Tuesday, the Morgan County High School Golf Team hosted the region golf tournament at Hard Labor Creek. The Lady Dogs continued to perform well, taking second overall to qualify for the state tournament but the Bulldogs struggled on their home course closing the match in fifth place, one position out of qualifying for the state tournament.

Sophomore Reagan Folk continued to dominate the girls’ competition and left the course shooting a 77 to be the low scorer for the day. Lily Baker closed the match with a 110. Clark Carroll had a 117 followed by Victoria Sims with 119 and Tallie Ray with 129.

The Bulldogs were paced by Ben Tanner with an 86 followed by Nolan Harris’s 88. Barrett Adams shot a 94 and Will Thompson finished at 99. Colby Brown finished at 101 strokes followed by Joshua Tamasi with 115.

The Lady Dogs will compete at Belle Meade Country Club in Thomson on May 16 and 17 for their shot at AAA state title.
