Wednesday night, the Morgan County High School girls tennis team continued its run in the 2021 GHSA state tournament as they faced Crisp County from Cordele. The Lady Dogs continued to show their strength as they swept the Cougars.

In singles action, No. 1 Karlie Lane won 6/1; 6/1. No. 2 Sarah Waldron won in straight sets as well 6/0;6/0. Chesley Paschal, the No. 3 singles representative for the Lady Dogs won 6/1,6/0.

The doubles teams had a bigger challenge but rose to the occasion. The No. 1 team of Abbey Adams and Emily Oglesby won 6/4, 6/3 and Hailey Harrison and Amelia Potter, the No. 2 team for MCHS, won 6/2, 6/2.

The Lady Dogs will host the Elite 8 against Stephens County on Wednesday, April 28 at 4:30 p.m.
