It seems that every day, the news stories get worse.

At our southern border, Panama officials warn that there’s a new wave of 60,000 citizens of Haiti and other countries making their way to the U.S. border.

Florida Senator Marco Rubio is concerned that al-Qaeda linked terrorists released from prison in Afghanistan might be among those simply walking across the border into the US and has written a letter to DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas demanding an accounting of steps taken to prevent that. We can forget about any help from Mayorkas.

Katie Pavlich on Townhall writes that Mayorkas faces calls for impeachment after his latest move on the border wall after he announced that DHS would use billions of taxpayer dollars that were allocated to construct the border wall on various other projects — none of which include constructing the border wall.

On the home front, parents are expressing outrage over the Justice Department (DOJ) that calls those who confront school boards as “Domestic Terrorists.” In Virginia, Democratic gubernatorial candidate Terry McAuliffe said in a debate: “I don’t think parents should be telling schools what they should teach.” Wow! School board members are elected in local elections and are funded by local taxes. The question should be, “What right does the federal government have to interfere with local governments?”

Speaking of government interference, we have a Daily Mail (UK), story by Adriana Diaz, Teachers blast a national teacher’s union for telling them to upload the vaccination status of student’s parents, their names and addresses to an app created for Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s campaign. Wow! A news story you could expect in Cuba or communist China, but not America.

As for our economic recovery, we have bad news from the September jobs report. The US economy added just 194,000 jobs in September, far less than the expected value of 500,000 and the smallest gain since December 2020. President Joe Biden blamed the COVID-19 Delta variant and the unvaccinated for causing the weak jobs report.

But the worst news for the Biden Administration are recent polling numbers.

A story on The Hill ‘Battered on Trust, Doubted on Leadership’: A ‘brutal’ poll for Biden shows no easy fix by Joe concha, opinion contributor — 10/08/21.

♦ Just 32 percent of independents approved of how Biden is handling his job while 60 percent disapprove in a new Quinnipiac University national poll.

♦ An Associated Press/NORC national poll at the end of September showed Biden at just 38 percent approval among independents — down a whopping 24 percentage points since just July.

♦ Just 39 percent of independents approved of the job Biden is doing as president in a NPR/PBS/Marist College poll released last month.

“These new poll numbers are frankly brutal for the president,” CNN anchor Jake Tapper reported on Wednesday after a new Quinnipiac University poll showed that President Biden is at his lowest approval number yet — 38 percent.

When questioned about Joe Biden’s poor polling numbers. Jan Psaki pinned part of the blame on the pandemic and the 20 percent of unvaccinated Americans.

Right, unvaccinated Americans. Of course! How silly of me. They are obviously the ones responsible for Joe Biden’s across-the-board failures.
