DEAR EDITOR:

As a lifelong moderate conservative I am beyond frustrated at the actions of David Perdue and Donald Trump.

I am disappointed in Mr. Perdue’s judgement and angry at Mr. Trumps self-serving comments concerning the current Governor and a Democratic candidate.

My thoughts have generally ran closer to the moderate Republican philosophies than the more liberal Democrats. My concern is that by Mr. Perdue and Mr. Trump jumping into the next Georgia Gubernatorial election they will fracture the conservative base and open the door for the more liberal agenda.

It seems what’s most important to Mr. Perdue and Mr. Trump is their own inflated egos, personal agendas and vendettas. It is time for the conservative base to move on from Mr. Trump and move to unite the conservative base into a more inclusive faction.
