1 FB Vessels SHOW

Madison Artists Guild Gallery begins 2022 with the Jan. 7 opening of VESSELS, a Guild members juried show featuring 2-D and 3-D work from 27 regional artists.

The public is invited to meet the artists, view and shop the exhibition, and enjoy light refreshments and musical entertainment from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 7. VESSELS will be on display through Feb. 19. MAGallery is located at 125 W. Jefferson Street in Madison.

Artists whose work was selected for VESSELS interpreted the definition of the word, with the results and media used as diverse as the imagination allows. Including free-standing ceramics, oils, fiber art (coptic-bound artist book), acrylic on coldpress, photo prints, turned exotic wood, ink and mixed media and more, each VESSELS entry is an original interpretative creation that will delight the viewer and challenge the mind. All works are offered for sale.

The VESSELS reception and exhibition are sponsored by Jim Boyd Agency. Madison Artists Guild is proud to have Jim Boyd Agency as a community business sponsor and appreciates the support it receives from local businesses.

Madison Artists Guild is a nonprofit membership organization dedicated to education and to the encouragement of artistic endeavor in its members and the community through outreach programs, classes, workshops and social gatherings. It supports local artists and their talents through MAGallery, a retail art gallery that is open Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, visit TheMadisonArtistsGuild.org or call 706-342-9360.
