Morgan County’s “Small But Special” city of Rutledge will be holding its 150th Anniversary Celebration event this Sunday, Nov. 14 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

According to the event’s organizer, an old fashioned “Chuck Wagon” demonstration complete with food will be held at the city’s downtown park. The demonstration will also include a historically correct “peddler wagon.” A cast iron skillet toss event will also be held.

A week later on Nov. 20 the city will also hold its annual Christmas in the County event that includes vendors with local handmade crafts, a chance to visit with Santa and the annual Rutledge Christmas Parade. The parade will begin at 10 a.m. and work its way through downtown Rutledge. The city is also holding its first ever Chili Cook-off competition at the Christmas in the County event.
