Pepsi truck stuck on Rutledge rail crossing

A Pepsi truck was stuck on the train crossing in downtown Rutledge for nearly an hour on Wednesday.

A Pepsi delivery driver in his first trip to Rutledge left his truck stuck on the city’s downtown train crossing Wednesday, June 30.

According to Morgan County Sheriff’s Office reports, the 16,000-pound delivery truck became stuck at the intersection of Fairplay Street and Dixie Highway at approximately 6 a.m.

The weight of the truck rested on the tracks and caused the safety arms to come down on top of the truck. The truck was removed from the tracks within an hour with the help of Chancey’s Wrecker Service.
