A Morgan County Grand Jury on Thursday, Dec. 15 handed down several criminal indictments.
The following persons were indicted.
Joel Wynton Armstrong, 33, Rutledge, was indicted on one count possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, one count possession of methamphetamine, one count possession of marijuana, less than an ounce and possession of drug related objects. According to Superior Court documents, Armstrong was arrested on Sept. 10, 2022, by a Morgan County Sheriff’s Office deputy after he allegedly possessed 19 suspected ecstasy pills, suspected marijuana, a grinder and rubber smoking device in a vehicle in which he was the only occupant. The arrest was made at the intersection of Fairplay Road and Prospect Road.♦
♦ Christian Benjamin Brown,♦ 27, Lithonia, was indicted on one count possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, one count possession of marijuana, more than an ounce, one count possession of drug related objects, one count speeding and one count open container. According to Superior Court documents, Brown was arrested on Aug. 28, 2020, by a Morgan County Sheriff’s Office deputy on Interstate 20. Consequent to a traffic stop, documents allege, the deputy located three plastic bags containing more than three ounces of suspected marijuana, a marijuana grinder and a set of digital scales.
♦ Siranthony Marquis Ferrell,♦ 32, Covington, was indicted on one count burglary, one count possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, one count criminal trespass, one count simple assault and one count disorderly conduct. According to Superior Court documents, Ferrell was arrested on July 31, 2022, by a Madison Police Department officer at a Green Meadow Court residence after the officer arrived and allegedly observed a large group of people arguing. Warrants allege Ferrell forced entry into a woman’s residence while in possession of a firearm.
♦ Terrell Marquise Hearon,♦ 19, Warner Robins, was indicted on one count entering an automobile and one count criminal attempt to commit a felony. According to Superior Court documents, Hearon was arrested on Aug. 30, 2022, by a Madison Police Department officer at Walmart, Eatonton Road, after he allegedly attempted to enter a Dodge Charger that, warrants state, “did not belong to him.”
♦ Derrick Ranell Lumpkin,♦ 30, Social Circle, was indicted on one count aggravated assault, one count terroristic threats, one count battery, one count disorderly conduct, one count criminal trespass and one count possession of marijuana, less than an ounce. According to Superior Court documents, Lumpkin was arrested on Aug. 25, 2022, by a Madison Police Department officer at the Red Roof Inn, Eatonton Road. Warrants allege that officers were called to the motel because of arguing and yelling from a room. Suspected marijuana was located in Lumpkin’s pockets, warrants allege and he had allegedly broken a woman’s phone and charger cord during the argument.
Danish Mitchell,♦ 32, Atlanta, was indicted on one count possession of a schedule 1 controlled substance, one count possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, one count possession of drug related objects and one count speeding. According to Superior Court documents, Mitchell was arrested on June 25, 2022, by a Morgan County Sheriff’s Office deputy on Interstate 20 following a traffic stop. Warrants allege following the stop, a deputy located a plastic jar and two plastic bags containing suspected marijuana, a digital scale, 13 plastic bags of suspected THC edible products and a metal grinder.
♦ Dennis Charles Murray,♦ 37, Augusta, was indicted on two counts fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer, one count DUI, one count reckless driving, one count driving while license suspended, one count speeding and one count failure to maintain lane. According to Superior Court documents, Murray was arrested on July 24, 2022, by a Morgan County Sheriff’s Office deputy on Interstate 20 after he allegedly refused to yield to a law enforcement attempt to make a traffic stop for speeding. Mitchell allegedly led authorities on a chase with speeds reaching more than 130 mph.
♦ Prince-Gregory Nelson,♦ 21, Lawrenceville, was indicted on one count possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and one count possession of marijuana, more than an ounce. According to Superior Court documents, Nelson was arrested on May 31, 2022, by a Morgan County Sheriff’s Office deputy on Interstate 20.
♦ Marcus Labron Porter,♦ 43, Milton, Fla., was indicted on one count fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer, one count reckless driving, one count failure to maintain lane, one count driving while license suspended and one count speeding. According to Superior Court documents, Porter was arrested on May 25, 2022, by a Georgia State Patrol trooper on Interstate 20 after Porter allegedly refused to yield to law enforcement and led authorities on a chase that reached speeds of more than 120 mph.
♦ Jayson Lee Potter,♦ 24, Mansfield, was indicted on one count possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, one count possession of marijuana, more than an ounce, one count possession of firearm during commission of a felony, one count illegal use of communication facility and one count possession of drug related objects. According to Superior Court documents, Potter was arrested on July 24, 2022, by a Morgan County Sheriff’s Office deputy at a Newborn Road residence with 1.5 ounces of suspected marijuana and a pistol in his possession.
♦ Kristopher Alan Wing,♦ 21, Ladson, S.C., was indicted on one count fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer, one count reckless driving, one count speeding and one count twilight violation. According to Superior Court documents, Wing was arrested on Sept. 17, 2022, by a Morgan County Sheriff’s Office deputy on Intestate 20 after he allegedly led the deputy on a chase with speeds exceeding 120 mph.
♦ Victor Alexander Pocoroba,♦ 20, no address listed, was indicted on three counts aggravated assault, one count terroristic threats and one count criminal trespass. According to Superior Court documents, Pocoroba was indicted after he allegedly, on Nov. 17, threatened three people with a sword at the Red Roof Inn, Eatonton Road.
♦ Lorenzo Mither Brown,♦ 33, no address given, was indicted on one count trafficking in methamphetamine, one count possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, one count possession of marijuana, more than an ounce, one count possession of marijuana, less than an ounce and one count speeding. According to Superior Court documents, Brown was arrested on Dec. 13, 2022, by a Morgan County Sheriff’s Office deputy.
♦ Robert Scotty Heard,♦ 53, no address given, was indicted on one count aggravated stalking. According to Superior Court documents, Heard was arrested Oct. 28, 2022, by a Madison Police Department officer after he allegedly made contact with a woman on Pearl Street without her consent and in violation of a Family Violence Twelve Month Protective Order.
♦ Kristal Adare Huff,♦ 50, no address given, was indicted on one count trafficking methamphetamine, one count possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, one count possession of methamphetamine, one count possession of marijuana, less than an ounce and one count possession of drug related objects. According to Superior Court documents, Huff was arrested on Dec. 13, by a Morgan County Sheriff’s Office deputy.
♦ Hunter Kiepper, 19, Madison, was indicted on one count fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer, one count reckless driving, one count improper passing and one count speeding. According to Superior Court documents, Kiepper was arrested on May 31, 2022, by a Georgia State Patrol trooper on Shockley Road after he allegedly refused to yield to a law enforcement officer and led the trooper a chase with speeds exceeding the posted speed limit by more than 20 miles per hour.
