A Morgan County Grand Jury returned several criminal indictments in Morgan County Superior Court. The following persons were indicted.

Jamisha Samone Allen, 40, Madison,♦ was indicted on two counts of aggravated assault and two counts of simple assault. According to court documents, Allen was arrested on Nov. 13, 2021, by a Madison Police Department officer after she allegedly took her 14-year-old daughter to a woman’s house on Garnett Street to fight the woman’s 16-year-old daughter. During the fight, warrants allege, Allen walked to her pickup truck and retrieved a baseball bat which she allegedly used to threaten both the 16-year-old and the juvenile’s mother during the fight.

Bobby Chad Evans, Jr., 39, Gainesville,♦ was indicted on two counts of fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer, one count driving under the influence, one count reckless driving, one count driving while license suspended and one count improper display of license plate. According to court documents, Evans was arrested on March 19, 2022, by a Georgia State Patrol trooper after he allegedly drove a motorcycle both on Intestate 20 and off the interstate at speeds of more than 100 mph while two marked trooper vehicles were attempting to make a traffic stop for speeding and reckless driving. Evans also allegedly told officers he had used methamphetamine prior to the chase.

Willie Roger Laguin, 45, Madison,♦ was indicted on one count trafficking methamphetamine or amphetamine, one count possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, one count possession of methamphetamine, one count possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, one count possession drug related objects and one count obstruction of an officer. According to court documents, Laguin was arrested on March 9, 2022, by a Madison Police Department officer for an alleged window tint violation on South Main Street. Consequent to the traffic stop, Laguin allegedly fled on foot. Warrants allege that the officer found 112 suspected ecstasy pills, 50 grams of suspected marijuana and digital scales in the vehicle.

Rodney Stephen Singley, 43, Covington,♦ was indicted on one count trafficking in methamphetamine, one count possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, one count possession of methamphetamine and one count possession of cocaine. According to court documents, Singley was arrested by a Madison Police Department officer on March 17, 2022, after an officer found him sitting in his vehicle overdosed at the Quality Inn, Eatonton Road. Warrants allege that 37.7 grams of suspected methamphetamine and suspected cocaine were located in Singley’s left pocket and a scale and multiple small baggies were located in a room rented to Singley.

Rebecca Grace Tallman, 24, Madison,♦ was indicted on one count hindering apprehension or punishment of a criminal and one count obstruction of an officer. According to court documents, Tallman was arrested at her Hestertown Road residence after she allegedly refused to come to the door while deputies were attempting to execute an arrest warrant on a man in the house. Warrants allege that on several occasions, Tallman had been told if she hindered officers in their attempt to arrest the man, she too would be arrested.

Joseph Chad Christian, 49 Buckhead,♦ was indicted on one count possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, one count possession of methamphetamine, one count possession of Tramadol, one count possession of drug related objects and one count possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. According to court documents, Christian was arrested on April 26, 2022, by Morgan County Sheriff’s Office investigators. Deputies executed a search warrant at Christian’s Cleveland Avenue residence and allegedly found 26.3 grams of suspected methamphetamine inside the house and 1.6 grams of suspected methamphetamine in a workshop. Suspected Tramadol pills and two rifles were also allegedly found in the work shop.

Jessica Shawn Walton, 41, Buckhead,♦ was indicted on one count possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, one count possession of methamphetamine and one count drug related objects. According to court documents, Walton was arrested on April 26, 2022, while at the Cleveland Avenue residence of Joseph Christian. Consequent to a search of the property, investigators with the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office allegedly found 26.3 grams of suspected methamphetamine inside the residence, 1.3 grams of suspected methamphetamine and suspected Tramadol pills in a workshop and a set of digital scales.

Alex Haltiwanger, 31, Columbia, S.C.,♦ was indicted on two counts fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer, one count theft by receiving stolen property, one count reckless driving, one count failure to wear a seat safety belt and one count driving without a license. According to court documents, Haltiwanger was arrested on March 6, 2022, by a Georgia State Patrol trooper after he allegedly attempted to flee from troopers on Lions Club Road in a 2009 Chevrolet Impala that had been reported stolen.

Christopher Desuan Gibson, 30, Sparta,♦ was indicted on two counts cruelty to children in the second degree and one count battery. According to court documents, Gibson was arrested on Jan. 7, 2022, after he alleged struck a 3-year-old child on the cheek while the child was at a Boones Bridge Road residence.

Jason Roy King, 41, Good Hope,♦ was indicted on three counts porch piracy. According to court documents, King was arrested on March 20, 2022, by Morgan County Sheriff’s Office investigators. Consequent to his arrest, investigators allegedly found a total of 14 checks taken from several mailboxes in Morgan County.

Amber Lynn Wilkerson, 31, Bogart,♦ was indicted on one count printing fictitious checks, one count forgery in the fourth degree, four counts forgery in the fourth degree and seven counts identity fraud. According to court documents, Wilkerson was arrested on April 13, 2022 by a Madison Police Department officer with several blank checks inside a printer while in the parking lot of the EZ Bottle Shop, West Washington Street. Another 30 preprinted checks were located inside a vehicle occupied by Wilkerson.

Jimmy Morrison Epps, III, 32, Union Point, was indicted on one count printing fictitious checks, one count forgery in the fourth degree, four counts forgery in the third degree and seven counts identity fraud. According to court documents, Epps was arrested by Madison Police Department officers on April 13, 2022, while he was allegedly attempting to cash a fraudulent check at EZ Bottle Shop, West Washington Street. Warrants allege that inside a vehicle occupied by Epps, investigators found a printer with 13 blank checks and 30 pre-printed checks, all allegedly fraudulent.
