Several persons negotiated criminal pleas last Wednesday in Morgan County Superior Court, the Hon. Terry Massey presiding. The following persons pleaded guilty in court.

Jeremy Ray Bryan♦ , 32, Jackson, pleaded guilty to one count burglary in the second degree. He was sentenced to three years probation.

Brent Francis Hughes♦ , 41, Watersboro, S.C., pleaded guilty to one count DUI, one count possession of marijuana, less than an ounce and one count failure to maintain lane. He was sentenced to one year with the first 10 days to be served in the Morgan County Detention Center and the remainder to be served on probation. He was also fined $800.

Grady Marshall Anderson♦ , 33, Forsyth, pleaded guilty to two counts fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer. He was sentenced to five years with credit for time served from Feb. 6, 2021 to May 7, 2021.

Ezekiel Thomas Spell♦ , 41, Bishop, pleaded guilty to one count possession of methamphetamine and one count possession of marijuana, less than an ounce. He was sentenced to 15 years with the first four years to be served in confinement and the remainder to be served on probation. Spell was also given credit for time served from April 26, 2021, and was fined $1,000.

Aladdin Harold Ruff♦ , 40, Madison, pleaded guilty to one count failure to register as a sex offender. He was sentenced to 10 years to be served on probation and was fined $1,000.

Virginia Arlene Morgan♦ , 65, Buckhead, pleaded guilty to six counts of forgery in the first degree. She was sentenced to three years probation and was fined $500.

Kenya Rivers♦ , 39, Madison, pleaded guilty to one count disorderly conduct and one count contributing to the delinquency of a minor. She was sentenced to one year probation and was fined $50.

Anthony Boyd Wade♦ , 53, Madison, pleaded guilty to one count unlawful use of state funds to obtain items of value for personal benefit. He was sentenced to one year probation and was fined $500.

William Todd Ayers♦ , 49, Dublin, pleaded guilty to one count theft by receiving stolen property and one count fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer. He was sentenced to eight years with the first three years to be served in confinement and the remainder to be served on probation. He was also fined $1,000 and given credit for time served from June 26, 2021.

Marcus Lavar Bonner,♦ 23, Eatonton, pleaded guilty to one count possession of marijuana, less than an ounce and one count possession of drug related objects. He was sentenced to one year probation and was fined $500.

Samaje Jamon Jones, 22, Atlanta, pleaded guilty to one count possession of marijuana with intent to distribute. He was sentenced to 10 years with the first 90 days to be served in confinement at the Morgan County Detention Center. He was also fined $1,000 and given credit for time served from July 2, 2021.
