On April 25, an information report was filed at Exxon Convenience Store, Monticello Road. According to reports, a woman said that after she pumped gas at the station, she forgot to take the hose out of her vehicle. Reports state after she tried to drive away, she pulled the gas line out of pump number five.
On April 24, Robert James Higgins, 62, Atlanta, was arrested and charged with shoplifting. According to reports, Higgins allegedly took two cans of Keystone beer, valued at $3, and placed them in a plastic shopping bag and walked out of the Golden Pantry Convenience Store, North Main Street, without paying for the items. A clerk followed Higgins outside the store, confronted him and made him return the beers. She said during this interaction Higgins allegedly stated he was going to grab the woman by a female part in a threatening manner. Several people in the store observed the incident and one customer was able to identify Higgins. Higgins was located and arrested. He was also served with a criminal trespass warning from the store.
On April 23, Jack Anthony Carroll, 38, North Augusta, was arrested and charged with battery. According to reports, Carroll allegedly struck a 16-year-old male in a Days Inn, Eatonton Road, motel room. When officers arrived, they observed the teen with injuries to his left eye.
On May 1, Leonard Lee Davis, 38, Madison, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and public drunkenness. According to reports, officers were called to a domestic dispute complaint at a Micha Way residence at 4 a.m. When officers arrived, they observed clothing and an unopened package of toilet paper on the street in front of the residence. Reports state that a woman in the residence alleged that Davis had become intoxicated and had thrown the items on the street. As officers were talking to the woman, Davis allegedly emerged from the residence and asked the officers “what the (expletive) are y’all doing here?” He also repeatedly called the woman a derogatory name and, at one point when the officers told Davis to stop yelling, said to the officers “(expletive) you. You ain’t (expletive).”
On May 1, an information report was filed at Lowe’s, Eatonton Road. According to reports, a man alleged while he was shopping, a cart rolled into his vehicle and damaged the door.
On April 29, an information report was filed at Walmart, Eatonton Road. According to reports, a woman said while she was shopping, she placed her keys on her cart and the keys fell to the floor. The woman said she walked through the store to search for the keys and reported the incident to customer service but did not locate the keys.
