The Daniel Family will be featured on an upcoming episode of “Family Feud,” a popular game show hosted by Steve Harvey in which two families compete by guessing the most popular answers to a set of survey questions to win up to $100,000.

The Daniel family’s episode will first air on Valentine’s Day, Monday, Feb. 14, on the Atlanta Channel WUPA at 7:30 p.m. Reruns of the episode will air on Feb. 15, Feb. 16, and Feb. 17.

“We had a lot of fun,” said Angela Daniel, the family’s matriarch, who filmed an episode with her children: Britney, Crystal, Sirredia, and Cedric.

“We can’t talk about it until after it airs, but we had a lot of fun,” said Daniel.

Crystal Daniel, a local author who recently released a children’s book titled “Chrissy’s Magical Moment,” signed her family up for the chance to appear on the iconic game show.

“It all started with me submitting a family audition video back in the summer of 2020. It was literally a three-minute video highlighting my family and the importance of family,” explained Crystal Daniel.

Crystal’s video and love of family won producers over shortly after she made the submission.

“It was around February of 2021 when I got a call saying we had been chosen to audition,” remembered Crystal. “My family and I gathered virtually with Family Feud at home and played a mock game and the energy was absolutely high. We were high-fiving, of course shouting, ‘Good Answer,’ and making sure to have fun!”

The Daniel family’s quick thinking and positive energy impressed producers and landed them a spot on the show.

“It was around April when I got another call saying we were moving forward and we were given taping dates and we were on cloud nine,” said Crystal. “The taping experience is one we’ll never forget and of course meeting Steve Harvey was amazing. Steve is hilarious and sweet. The experience was great and I can’t wait to watch.”

Family Feud first debuted in July of 1976, with a slew of memorable hosts throughout the decade. Comedian Steve Harvey is the latest host, leading competing families through questions and revealing what the “survey says.”

Tune in on Monday, Feb. 14 at 7:30 p.m. to find out if the Daniel Family wins big!
