Celebrate Halloween early this year with a day of spooky fun for the entire family at Hard Labor Creek State Park in Rutledge. Hard Labor Creek is hosting its annual Haunted House and Spooky Trail by the Lake, this Saturday, Oct. 23.

“Come visit Hard Labor Creek's Haunted House by Lake Rutledge for a family-friendly, slight-fright event,” said a press release from Hard Labor Creek. “Walk through the haunted trail filled with scenes of your Halloween scary favorites, including an appearance by that hockey mask wearing man from the movies.”

According to Hard Labor Creek, pre-registration (pre-sale tickets) and social distancing will be required during the Spooky Trail tours. Costumes welcome and encouraged.

Hard Labor Creek is offering different tours for young children and families, teens and adults throughout the day. A family-friendly tour with toned down scariness and spookiness will be offered from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. for age six and up. Teens and adults can take the Spooky Trail Tour, with maximum spookiness, any time between 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Hard Labor Creek is offering tours on the Spooky Trail every 10 minutes. Tours last approximately 15 minutes. Pre-sale tickets for tours began on Oct. 1. Not recommended for children under age 6.
