An earlier verson of this story mistakenly reported that this Saturday's festival would include the annual Southern Classic BBQ Competition, but that competition will not be taking place this year. Instead, fresh BBQ will be sold by the pound during the Fall Kickoff Festival. We regret the error.
Farmview Market will kick-off the Fall season with a festival this weekend on Saturday, Sept. 4.
“We’re serving up the best BBQ in Georgia,” said a statement from Farmview Market in Madison. The open-air farmers market will be happening at the same time. The event also features live music and crafting opportunities.
“The event is not replacing our annual Fall Festival which will he held on Oct. 16. The Fall Kickoff marks the beginning of the season change and the kickoff of football season,” said marketing manager Josh Alexander. “We will be serving hot BBQ sold by the pound outside at our farmers market. We will also have live music, Kona ice, and special deals on butcher, grocery, and ready-to-eat items inside the store.”
Head over to Farmview Market on Saturday, Sept. 4 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. for the Southern Classic BBQ Competition. General Admission is free. Farmview Market is located at 2610 Eatonton Road in Madison.
