Six years ago, Judy and Charles Smith, along with their niece Jennifer Smith, cracked open a hopeful bottle of champagne to celebrate opening their own full service pet-grooming salon in Madison, The Fetch House.

Last Saturday, the three popped open a new bottle of champagne to celebrate a monumental milestone for the Fetch House. The business has blossomed into a paradise for their furry clientele, moving into a new expansive location and launching a doggie daycare, in addition to their grooming, boutique, and market services.

“I can’t believe we are here and that we have come this far,” said Jennifer Smith as she prepared The Fetch House for a grand opening event last Saturday.

“This was a massive undertaking,” said Judy Smith. “We redid this entire place in three months, from the electrical work to the plumbing, the windows and doors. We added special cushioned flooring for the dogs. We are really proud of how it turned out,” said Judy Smith.

The Fetch House is now located at 1142 Eatonton Road in Madison. The Smiths oversaw the remodeling of the nearly 4,500-square-foot interior to accommodate displaying boutique pet products, erecting bathing and clipping areas, and playrooms. The backyard features 14,000 square feet of roaming room and play areas surrounded by an 8-foot-tall privacy fence.

The doggie daycare features group play, one-on-one attention, physical exercise and mental stimulation. Dogs are grouped by size and energy level and are supervised at all times by trained attendants.

Now pet owners can pamper their pups at The Fetch House’s grooming salon, stock up on healthy treats, and drop their beloved fur babies off for a full-day of play.

The Fetch House is open Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and on Saturdays, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. To register your pup for Doggie Daycare or grooming and boutique services, visit:
