What the? I flat can’t get Petey the Poodle to stop smilin’! I mean he’s ‘bout as happy as a dog chasin’ a squirrel off leash!  What’s that Petey? You need to bark slower ‘cause my poodle interpretation skills are right slow. Got it! Petey says he’s smack happy ‘cause his canine choppers aren’t hurtin’ him no more! That’s right y’all. We recently took Petey to Main Street Vet located at 1311 Eatonton Road in Madison, to see their Dental Tech Dave Shuey.  Shuey ended up havin’ to extract some of his teeth during the cleaning process, but Petey was flat like a new person afterwards. I mean he’s been skippin’, hoppin’ and prancin’ all over Morgan County!

But the best news is that Main Street Vet is offerin’ a whoppin’ 20 percent off special dental services through Labor Day! The offer also includes a complimentary dental consultation with a vet tech and a special treat bag! Hot Diggity Dog! Y’all check out Main Street Vet’s ad in today’s Morgan County Citizen and get your dog over there immediately for a dental consultation!

Hellfire and Damnation! Momma’s flat mad as a donkey chewin’ on a bumble bee!  I mean she’s stompin’ all over the kitchen bangin’ pots and pans! She’s like a squirrel in the nut cage! It all started when Momma overhead PawPaw braggin’ on those biscuits at the Bojangles . . . He said they were the best ding dang biscuits he’d ever had in all his livin’ life! Honey, PawPaw is ding dang dumb! I’m takin’ if stupid could fly, he’d be a jet! Momma ain’t never gonna forgive ‘em.  I reckon, we’d all better get over to Bojangles’ Famous Chicken ‘n Biscuits that just opened on Monday at 1840 Eatonton Road in Madison and check out some of those delicious biscuits and chicken! But, if y’all see Momma, don’t mention how delicious the Bojangles biscuits are ‘cause Momma’s got three speeds: On, Off and Don’t-Push-Your-Luck!

Flat near forgot to tell y’all! This Saturday, August 25 from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. Farmview Market, located at 2610 Eatonton Road in Madison is hostin’  its second annual Southern Classic BBQ Competition! Whoa! General admission is free but you can buy samplin’ tickets ($2 for one tastin’ ticket, $15 for 10 and $30 for 30) and there’s gonna be live music, farm kids crafts, chef demos and BBQ for sale!

You don’t want to miss this one y’all! The best part is that live music will be goin’ on all ding dang day, startin’ local band Kickin’ Grass from 9 a.m. til 11 a.m.  From 11 a.m. til 1 p.m., David Court will show us what a one-man-band is all ‘bout! He plays harmonica, mountain dulcimer and foot tambourine all at the same time! From 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., Andy and Amanda will entertain us with their Americana tunes followed by Rob Vincent & The Nightwatchmen from 3 p.m. til 5 p.m.

I’ll see all y’all there!

Shoot fire! We’re outta space, outta time! But don’t cry cause . . . You’re all invited back next week to this locality, to have a heapin’ helpin’ of Citizen hospitality. Biz Buzz that is. Set a while. Take your shoes off. Y’all come back now ya’ hear!
