Martha Stewart admitted she's a pretty active Instagram and TikTok user, but it's not for the reason you may think.
Though she's been applauded for her glamorous, picture-perfect poolside thirst traps, the TV personality explained that her daily social media habits have nothing to do with vanity and actually help further her life and career's philosophy.
Stewart made a name for herself as the ultimate homemaker, with top-notch recipes and carefully-written guidance for working in the garden, but her legacy didn't happen overnight or by coincidence. In fact, she's still working on it.
"My whole philosophy is to create this content, that is the best way to do something," she told Sports Illustrated Swimsuit. "I scour Instagram daily, the Reels on Instagram, and even on TikTok, because I like to see if there is a better way to do something. And if it is, I will adopt it, and I will fix it."
When she first began filming for Martha Stewart Living, ahead of her successful merchandising business Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, Stewart said set out to create and share "useful, Evergreen content."
"It's the accomplishment, I think, to create such beautiful content," she noted, "such useful content, and to celebrate the home and home-keeping in the way that we have celebrated it–making the home, really, the center of a life."
