Sunday morning attendance was good; some members were out for different reasons, cold weather, sickness, jobs, etc. We pray for all the sick to be better real soon and will be out and about soon. Thankful for the visitors that come week after week and I hope they know how much we do appreciate their faithfulness and I’m sure God does too. The call to worship by the choir was “Immanuel.” Bro. Ron had the Morning Prayer, praying for the sick, shut-ins, all those out today, our church and community.
After the prayer morning announcements were made for upcoming events of the church. The choir special, “Hold to God’s Unchanging Hand.” Another special was, “A Sinner Saved by Grace,” by James Butler with is wife Caitlin on the piano. Bro. Ron continued messages on “Titles to Holy Spirit”, Romans 1 and other scripture. The Holy Spirit is always with us we can’t be saved without the Holy Spirit.
It is the word of God, not men that makes a difference in a soul. Jesus trusted in the Father, He was God and man. We have the same message and same spirit, we’re not to quench the spirit of God, and God will not force himself on us. Paul let the people know who he was and that he stood for God. Jesus arose from the dead never to die again. We need discipline, obedience, work, effort, time and cooperation with the Holy Spirit if we’re going to be used of God. To see the Lord you have to be saved. God is absolutely Holy, He never sinned. Sunday night at 6 p.m. Bro. Ron continued message on Psalm 23. 1. Proclamation at one time David was a shepherd he understood the proclection needed.
David proclaimed loud and clear The Lord is my shepherd, He will lay down His life for me, through it all God is with me. 2. Prayer: David talking to God when there is a shadow, the substance is not far away, animals didn’t get wild till after the curse, evil is real, sin is evil. As shepherd David understood need of prayer during this time. 3. Promise: Beneath me are green pastures; beside me, quiet still waters; before me table spread; behind me goodness and mercy all days; beyond me Father’s House forever. LEADERSHIP Authority does not make you a leader; it gives you the opportunity to be one. Learn self-control before attempting to control others. Good supervision is the art of getting average people to do superior work. You cannot lead anyone farther than you have gone yourself. One is not qualified to give orders until he is capable of receiving orders. Master concentration and you can master anything. Action is the only true test of ability. An executive is one who hires others to do what he is hired to do. The best investment you can make as a leader is hard work. The problem of being a leader is to tell if the people are following or chasing you. A conference room is a place where everybody talks, nobody listens and everyone disagrees afterwards. Be your own efficiency expert by doing your job the best way it can be done. The difference between promises and productive results is a good manager. Authority can never take the place of leadership. A boss is a person who is early when you’re late and late when you are early. Not to the bosses! A pleasant word will get more results than extra pay.
