The months come and go really fast. I write the USBC Nursing Home news once a month. We welcome blackberry winter. I’ve seen the bushes blooming around our place. Saturday was a rainy dreary day but thanks to God at the Nursing Home we were warm and dry and the spirit of the Lord was in the place.
Thank you Lord. I was a little late getting there but thanks to Evang. Stokes for getting things going. Thanks also to Mother Mary Weaver for presiding. The opening song was by Sis. Hazel Lunceford, a resident. Scripture was by Sara Meadows, prayer Mother Ruby Rainwater, poem Sis. Mary Ann Bailey, song Mother Octavia Whitlock, scripture Sis. Monica Thomas and a reading Mother Willie Ann Johnson. Evang. Stokes brought the Word from Psalms 121 entitled “Put God First.”
Job well done. We also thank Sis. Linda Cumming for being with us as always. Closing song was by Sis. Hazel Lunceford, closing prayer by Evangelist Stokes. The Spirit of the Lord was in the place on Saturday. We thank God for the Holy Spirit. Hope each one had a blessed Easter. My humming birds are back. Praise God. Until next third Saturday a thought to remember: “Welcome the King into your life.”
