Staff Reports

Independence Day celebrations in the county started this year on Wednesday, July 3, with a patriotic concert by the Classic City Band in The Hall at the Madison-Morgan Cultural Center. The concert was supposed to take place on the lawn, but was held indoors due to the weather.

The City of Madison, then, at dusk, lit their fireworks from Heritage Park for all to see.

On the Fourth of July itself, Bostwick celebrated with their annual barbecue at mid-day.

Then, the Town of Buckhead held their annual chicken barbecue in the evening, followed by fireworks.
