Deacon Alonzo Wadsworth Sumpter died Friday, August 30, 2013. He was born September 21, 1922 to the late Samuel and Leona Crowdler Sumpter in Love Joy, Illinois. He joined the First Corinthian Baptist Church at an early age and began working in the vineyard of the Lord.
