Clifford Clengmon Walker

Cliff Walker, 86 of Buckhead, died November 10, 2013. He was born February 9, 1927 in Crawfordville to David and Mary Sosbee Walker. He grew up in Greene County.

He was married to Betty Isbell on September 1, 1951. He was a member of Sugar Creek Baptist Church and he was a Mason. Mr. Walker retired from Crawford W. Long Hospital. He enjoyed reading, fishing and tinkering.

He will be remembered as a practical joker. Mr. Walker is survived by his wife of 62 years, Betty Walker and their children, Michael Keith Walker, Dawn Walker and Shondia Evans and Herman; four brothers, Franklin, Talmadge, Lint and Alvin Walker; six grandchildren, Tricia Walker, Nicole Morris, Cole Walker, Justin Walker, Heather Evans, Ethan Evans and Trey Evans; two great grandchildren, MacKenzie and Charlotte Morris.

He is also survived by Jane Rountree and other family members. The family received friends Tuesday, Nov. 12 from 6-8 p.m. at A. E. Carter Funeral Home.

The funeral was held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 13 at Sugar Creek Baptist Church. Interment followed at Buckhead Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Sugar Creek Baptist Church Building Fund, 1000 Sugar Creek Church Road, Madison, GA 30650. A. E. Carter Funeral Home had care of arrangements.
