Virginia McAdams Larman, 71, of Monticello, died Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2013, at Gentiva Hospice-Emory University in Atlanta.

Virginia Larman was born in Rutledge, Ga., to the late Walton Page McAdams and Mary Leila Shepherd McAdams.

She and her late husband, Harold Sammy Larman, moved to Monticello, Ga., 46 years ago to farm. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Newborn.

She enjoyed farming, but, most of all, she loved spending time wither her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Beth and John Miller of Monticello, and Carol and Lee Carnes of Monticello; grandchildren, Bethany Carnes, Grant Miller, Sarah Carnes, Kate Miller, Pate Carnes, and Racheal Carnes; and sisters and brother, Page Bryans and Carolyn Johnston of Newborn, and Anita Johnston and John McAdams of Rutledge.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, Nov. 22, 2013, at Shiloh Baptist Church in Newborn. Internment will be held in Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Danny Sorrells and Dr. Randal Reese will officiate. Serving as pallbearers will be Russell Johnston, Warren Bryans, Jack Welch, Neil Prewett, Mark Larman, and Craig Prewett.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 21, 2013, at Jordan Funeral Home in Monticello. Jordan Funeral Home of Monticello is in charge of arrangements.
