Norwood, GA- Jimmie Lee Jenkins, 70, of Willams Creek Church Rd. entered into rest December 3, 2013. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Friday, December 6, in the chapel of Beggs Funeral Home, Thomson with Rev. Tommy Harwell and Rev. Danny McClure officiating. Interment followed in Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers were Darrell Quillin, Joshua Quillin, Bryant Quillin, Johnny Walker, David Lampp and Clint Watkins. Mr. Jenkins was born in Morgan County, and was the son of the late Porter Cleveland Jenkins and the late Ruby Stephens Jenkins. He lived in Norwood most of his life before moving to Florida six years ago. Mr. Jenkins worked in Thomson many years in apartment maintenance, worked with Dixie Lock and Safe and retired as a supervisor with DQ RV Salvage in Florida. He was a member of Norwood Baptist Church. Survivors include his beloved wife of 41 years, Doris Quinn Jenkins; daughters, Tina Moon, Wendy Watkins, Tammie Hoss; step sons, Joseph Martin Coxwell, James Brett Coxwell, Mike Cranford; brothers, Danny Jenkins, Cleveland Jenkins, David Jenkins; sister, Carolyn Quillin; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren and two step grandchildren. Mr. Jenkins was preceded in death by his son, Jimmy Porter Jenkins; daughter, Joann Kraft; four brothers and two sisters. The family received friends from 7 until 9 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home. Beggs Funeral Home, 799 Cobbham Rd., Thomson was in charge of arrangements.
