Harvey Jean Vickery Jr. of Rutledge passed away December 9, 2013 at Abbey Hospice. He was born June 29, 1957 in Bainbridge, Maryland to Harvey Vickery Sr. and Mary Ann Cranford Vickery. He was a truck driver for Golden Flake. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints of Madison. He enjoyed attending church, football and tinkering with new objects and hobbies. Mr. Vickery is survived by his wife Deborah Greenway Vickery; his children Jennifer Dawn Davis and Edell and Harvey Jean Vickery III (Trey); his siblings Sharon Whitaker and Albert, Jerry Ruark and Hal, Terry Bishop and Wayne and Kenneth Vickery; and a grandchild Eryn Davis. He was preceded in death by his parents Harvey Jean Vickery Sr. and Mary Vickery. A memorial service was held at Madison Branch of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Wednesday, Dec. 11 at 1 p.m. for family and close friends. A visitation was held prior to the service from 11 a.m. to 12:30p.m. Donations can be made to the family of Harvey Vickery c/o Jennifer Davis BB&T, Conyers, Old Town. A. E. Carter Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
