The Morgan County Marlins swim team will travel to Tifton this week to compete in the Georgia Recreation and Park Association (GRPA) Class B/C State Championship. The meet begins on Friday, July 18, and continues on to Saturday, July 19. Teams from around the state will come to the Baldwin Drive Aquatic Center for the short course championship races.Morgan County will have 21 swimmers participating in the meet. Leah Wall will compete in the Girls 9-10 50-yard freestyle and the 25-yard backstroke. Sydney Griffith will compete in the Girls 9-10 50-yard freestyle and the 25-yard butterfly. David Otalora-Garcia has qualified for the Boys 13-14 100-yard freestyle and the 50-yard freestyle. Zac Seymour will take part in the Boys 15-18 100-yard freestyle and the 50-yard butterfly. Rebekah Wall will compete in the Girls 7-8 25-yard freestyle and the 25-yard backstroke. Addie Kate Robinson has qualified for the Girls 9-10 25-yard freestyle and 25-yard breaststroke. Colton Peterson will compete in the Boys 9-10 25-yard freestyle and the 25-yard breaststroke. Emma Kate Leach will compete in the Girls 11-12 50-yard freestyle and the 50-yard breaststroke. Rose Marie Kuntz will take part in the Girls 11-12 50-yard freestyle and the 50-yard butterfly Abagail Glass will compete in the Girls 11-12 50-yard freestyle. Trey Torok will compete in the Boys 11-12 50-yard breaststroke. Rachel Wood has qualified for the Girls 9-10 50-yard breaststroke and the 25-yard backstroke. Hunter Prince will compete in the Boys 13-14 50-yard freestyle and the 50-yard backstroke. Kilee Norman will compete in the Girls 15-18 50-yard freestyle and the 50-yard backstroke. Kylie Harris will compete in the Girls 15-18 50-yard freestyle and the 50-yard backstroke.

Skyler Patterson will take part in the Girls 11-12 50-yard breststroke and the 50-yard backstroke. Cassidy Robinson will participate in the Girls 11-12 50-yard breaststroke and the 50-yard backstroke. Lauren West will compete in the Girls 13-14 100-yard individual medley and 50-yard butterfly. MaKenna Waszgis will compete in the Girls 15-18 100-year individual medley and the 50-yard butterfly. Best of luck to all of the members of the Marlins team.
