On December 28 a simple battery cokmmplaint was filed at a Bostwick Road location. According to reports, a 39-year-old woman told a deputy that she had engaged in a physical altercation with her 61-year-old husband. The woman said that when the couple arrived home, the man accused her of being unfaithful and threw her on a bed, breaking the bed, slapped her on the head and threw a bottle of lotion at her. The husband said that he had accused the complainant of being unfaithful and that he had thrown a bottle of lotion at her but denied the other accusations. After the deputy finished speaking with the husband, the woman appeared again and reported that she had a lengthy scratch on one arm. The deputy noted that during an initial examination of the woman there was no scratch. The husband said the long scratch was self-inflicted. No arrests were made.
On December 28 a harassing phone call complaint was made at a Greensboro Highway, Buckhead. According to reports, a woman reported that she had received a phone call, later traced to a pay phone at Pilot Truck Stop, Eatonton Road, from a man who called her by name and stated that he was a former lover who missed the woman. The woman said none of the assertions were true. Deputies were able to develop a lead in the harassment case based on photographic evidence and are pursuing the case.
On December 28 a noise complaint was filed at a East Dixie Avenue location. According to reports, a man stated that a neighbor continues to have loud parties on Friday nights at his house. The complainant said guests at the parties tend to urinate outside and litter the road with beer cans. The man also said that music from the events keep he and his wife awake until after 3 a.m. The man said he has attempted to speak with the home owner regarding the intrusion but the discussions have had no affect.
On December 28 Arthur Binion, 52, Sandy Springs, Ga., was arrested and charged with probation violation. According to reports, a deputy was called to a Holland Springs Road residence in response to a domestic violence complaint. When the deputy arrived a woman alleged that Binion had pushed her down the front steps. Binion was located in the kitchen area of the residence and denied the altercation, however, the deputy was advised that an active warrant for probation violation had been issued for Binion. He was then arrested.
On December 27 a shoplifting complaint was filed at Golden Pond, Newborn Road, Rutledge. According to reports, a cashier at the store stated that she observed a white male acting suspiciously in the store. The woman said the man took a pair of sunglasses from the store and fled in a Toyota Tacoma. Cameras recorded both the male and the license tag of the vehicle. Authorities are currently searching for Howard Collin Lackey, 24, Rome, in connection with the alleged theft.
On December 25 Marcius Tamario Cooper, 34, Rutledge, was arrested on an outstanding warrant. According to reports, a deputy was called regarding a domestic violence complaint at a Farbrough Road residence. A woman said when she arrived to pick up her daughter from the residence, Cooper allegedly threw a plate of food in the yard and snatched the woman from the car and attempted to assault her and jumped on the hood of her car as she attempted to leave with her daughter.
On December 26 a verbal dispute report was filed at a Weaver Jones Road, Rutledge, location. According to reports, deputies were dispatched to a Weaver Jones Road residence regarding a man who had allegedly threatened suicide. The man told the deputies that he had not threatened suicide and that he did not have a weapon in the house. The man said he and a woman with whom he had lived with for the past year had engaged in an argument. The deputy reported that the man appeared to be intoxicated. The man said the woman had left the area in a silver sports car and that he wanted to begin the process of evicting her from his residence.
On December 24 a disorderly conduct complaint was filed at a Clack Road location. According to reports, a deputy responded to the location and when he arrived he observed a woman on a ladder outside the residence yelling loudly at someone in the house. The deputy requested that the woman come down from the ladder. The woman said that when she arrived at the house at approximately 2 a.m. her fiancé would not let her in the house and that he had another woman inside the residence. The woman said she wanted to retrieve a television set she had purchased for the couple’s son and a red Dodge truck that she said was in her name. She said she had become emotional after the man had refused her entrance. The man said he denied the woman entrance and the woman broke out his bedroom window. A woman with the man said she overheard the woman talking on the phone outside the window and the woman was threatening to commit bodily harm to the woman.
On December 23 a verbal dispute report was filed at a Price Mill Road, Bostwick, location. According to reports, a woman reported that she had a verbal altercation with her 14-year-old daughter regarding a cell phone and a family trip. The juvenile told the deputy that she had cursed at her mother regarding the trip because she did not want to go with the family on the trip.
On December 23 an animal complaint was filed at a Sandy Creek Road location. According to reports, a man stated that at approximately 7:50 a.m. he heard two gun shots. The man said his female black lab returned home with buck shot wounds. The man said a male black Lab pet did not return home. The man said he searched for the dog for several days and eventually found him dead in an abandoned well on hunting property near his residence. The man said the dog’s collar had been removed.
On December 21 a burglary complaint was filed at a Shadow Creek Drive, Buckhead, location. According to reports, a man stated that someone had removed a Iver Johnson .32 pistol and a camera from an office he had recently had remodeled.
On December 21 a simple battery complaint was filed at a Aqua Road location. According to reports, a woman reported that she told her sister not to pick up her baby but the sister attempted to pick up the baby so the woman attacked her. Both women had minor scratches on their faces from the incident but no arrests were made.
