Jerry Franklin Peppers, 67, of Loganville, passed away Tuesday, August 19, 2014. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Connie Peppers; daughter, Gina Moore; son, Jason Peppers; grandchildren, Jordan, Zachary and Abigail Moore and Jaden Peppers; sisters, Mildred Smith and Dottie Megel and her companion Zana Sabre; brothers Gary Peppers, brother- and sister-in-law Larry and Melba Peppers; brother and sister-in-law, Ricky and Brenda Peppers; brothers and sisters-in-law, Alan and Susan Atha and Melvin and Donna Atha; mother-in-law, Isabel Atha; as well as many nieces and nephews. Mr. Peppers was a Navy veteran serving in Vietnam. He was a long time member of South Gwinnett Baptist Church and Chestnut Grove Baptist Church. He was the retired owner of J.F. Peppers and Associates in which he started in 1976, and a partner in Cross Pipeline Co.. Mr. Peppers was a loving husband, father and grandfather and he loved spending time with his loving family. He enjoyed fishing and watching his cows.The funeral service honoring the life of Jerry Peppers was held Friday, August 22 at 4 p.m. at Chestnut Grove Baptist Church, 2299 Rosebud Road, Grayson, GA, 30017. Interment followed the service at Chestnut Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family received friends on Thursday, August 21, from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Tom M. Wages, Snellville Chapel.
