Jim Wood, 76, of Madison died June 17, 2013. He was born in Rush Springs, Oklahoma on May 26, 1937 to James and Margie Wood. He worked as a machinist at Georgia Pacific until retirement in 2004. He was married to Jan H. Jenkins.

Mr. Wood enjoyed any outdoor activity. He loved to hunt and fish as well as time spent on horse. He will be remembered as a man who could build or fix anything. Mr. Wood is survived by his wife Jan and children Jay Wood and Marlene, Deborah Tamez, Dana Raasch and Tyson, Stacey Nixon and Mark, Jeanne Moore and David, Dennis Smith and Kathleen, Devin Dartnell and Maryann, Russ Scott and Carol and Vince Fannin and Jennifer; a sister Wanda Lee Wood and a brother Wiley Wood. He was preceded in death by a sister Annie Cathlene Teel. Mr. Wood is also survived by many grandchildren.

The family received friends on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at A. E. Carter Funeral Home. The funeral service was held Thursday at noon in the chapel.
