Attendance Sunday morning was good with members and visitors. Some were out due to traveling, sickness and jobs. Hope all will be back soon, we miss you when you’re not with us. The call to worship by the choir was “Be Exalted Oh God.” Welcome and announcements were made and Vernon Mullins, deacon of the week, had the opening prayer. For the morning worship hour Bro. Ron said God had spoken to him telling him instead of preaching a sermon call the church to prayer and come with dependence on Him meaning God for all the needs and concerns; spiritual, physical, financial, medical etc. and for everyone to come totally dependent on God.
Service was open for testimonies; people were at the altar praying, others were praying in the pews. Scripture was quoted from Romans 8, Psalms, 23, II Chron. 7: 14, Isaiah 59: 1 and Proverbs 3: 5-6. Sunday night at 6 p.m. a good attendance present. Bro. Ron discussed passages of scripture in II Cor. Chapters 4 and 5. Jesus dealt with us as sinners on the cross that’s salvation, dealt with us as sons, sanctification will deal with us as servants, and how we served Him here on earth, that’s evaluation. Tuesday night, June 10 there will be a VBS Planning session at Brownwood in the Family Life Center at 7 p.m. Saturday morning, June 14 the Women’s Ministry of Brownwood will meet at 10 a.m. in the Brownwood Community building. Well, this will be the first full week that most workers and teachers will be out of school for the summer break and believe me it will go by really fast. I do hope all will have a good safe summer, getting to do all those things that you’ve planned all year to do when school is out. I say that ‘cause I have a long list. I know of some teachers already gone on vacation, they said that comes first, can’t blame them for that. Hard as they work all year with the children they do a great job and need a vacation.
