Last Friday, July 19, the Morgan County Touchdown Club held its annual golf tournament fundraiser, which was held at The Creek at Hard Labor Golf Course.

Twenty-five, four-man teams came out to support the Touchdown Club at $75 per player. Additionally, there were 40 hole sponsors for the event.

Danny Tillery, Jason Singleton, Jonathan White and Jason Powell made up the team that won first place in the Gross Division, with a score of 56. First place in the Net Division was won by the team of Mark Schlabach, Kevin Meeler, Ryan Folk and Ben Whidby.

The funds raised by the tournament go toward the Bill Cochran, Jr. Scholarship Fund, which is granted to the best all-around member of the Bulldogs, as well as helping to deal the team’s financial needs during the course of the season.

“It was a very successful day for the football team,” said Rusty Ewing, golf tournament chairman for the Touchdown Club.
