• Annual Morgan County NAACP Parade & Festivities Parade starts at noon Parade line up starts at 10:00 a.m.at MCPS parking lot. Festivities begin at 10:00 a.m. at Town Park. We are celebrating the MCHS Boys Basketball Team and will honor and celebrate Rev. G.C. Brown for being the oldest active African American pastor in Morgan County. SO COME ONE- COME ALL! The NAACP is looking for floats, fancy cars, etc. to show that black history is rich locally as well. We are looking forward to the entire state of Georgia celebrating with us. Don’t forget to check your voter registration status. If you are not registered to vote, see the NAACP booth at the parade. Remember to exercise your right to vote. Primary elections are Tuesday, May 20th. Early voting has already started. You may review your voter registration status, voting precinct, and sample ballot at http://mvp.sos.state.ga.us.

The Madison Artists Guild Gallery, Artisans Alley, I Bowman, Ava Alexander, Canavan, Madison Museum of Fine Art, Dixie Seafood will be hosting the forth “First Friday Event!” Be sure to come out and shop local! The Madison Artists Guild Gallery will have the doors open from 5:00pm-8:00pm on Friday, June 6th at 217 W. Jefferson St. Stroll through Town Park while on your way to visit Ava Alexander. There will be complimentary wine and hors d’oeuvres and as always great company and shopping. At the Madison Artists Guild Gallery the theme will be “Luau” and we will have door prizes!

Moss & the Georgia Superior Court Clerks’ Cooperative Authority. June 17TH, 2014 from 10:30AM – 12:00PM. This training workshop is open to the public! We highly recommend this workshop to anyone who is a notary public in the state of Georgia or is considering becoming one. It is important to remember that a notary public should perform their duties to the utmost extent of the law.
