Attendance seemed to be down Sunday morning for various reasons. We know of some that visited churches where their family members were in Easter programs. We will be looking for everyone to be back with us next week. Visitors were present and again we welcome them to come to any of our services and pray they are also as blessed as we are by them being with us each week. The call to worship was “He has made me glad.” Ronald Atkinson opened service with prayer. The choir’s special “Who Is This King?” Other special in song was “Beyond the Open Door” by James Butler. Bro. Ron’s message, “Gospel of Christ” using scriptures throughout the book of Galatians. The gospel is the Death, Burial and Resurrection of Christ.

Some people want to hear about Jesus and the cross, some run to the cross, others run from it; believers believe there is power in the cross, Paul preached the cross and freedom in Christ Jesus, God’s law had to be satisfied, love had been manifested and liberty was secured for us at the cross. We’re free in Christ to obey that freedom. Paul’s proclamation is loud and clear, I am crucified with Christ, God’s word cannot change, and we are eternally with Christ. Paul said if you’re crucified, you’ve been raised with Him. As a child of God we have a new identity, no longer I, but Christ, the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God. We are motivated by knowing He loved me and He gave Himself for me. Sunday night at 6 p.m. good attendance. Bro.
