The highly-anticipated popular burger chain, Steak’n Shake, will open in Madison on Dec. 12, located at 2011 Eatonton Road.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held at 9:30 a.m. and the doors will open for business at 10 a.m. “We are excited for new businesses to come to Morgan County, we are looking forward to the opening,” said Shey Daniel, office manager of the Madison-Morgan Chamber of Commerce.
Benjamin Carter Jr. is the owner of the new Steak’n Shake store and Seth Salzman is the chief operating officer and partner in the company.
Carter, having longtime family roots in Madison, was eager to bring his business to Morgan County. “He always thought it was a special place and we are excited to bring a Steak’n Shake here,” said Salzman.
The new Steak’n Shake has created a significant amount of jobs for the county. So far, the new restaurant has hired 160 employees. The process of establishing the new Steak’n Shake began a little more than a year ago. The site of the store used to be an old Chevron gas station.
“As you can imagine, there was a lot of work to be done,” said Salzman. “But we think the location is perfect. It’s a great spot right off the highway and it’s easily visible and accessible,” said Salzman.
Salzman believes Steak’n Shake will be an establishment of which Morgan County can be proud. “We are a classic American brand and we intend to lead and dominate in the premium burger and milk-shake segment of the restaurant industry,” explained Salzman.
“Our mission is to constantly provide our patrons with the highest quality of burger and shakes along with extending great service at the lowest possible prices. All day, everyday, we focus on giving people a great product and great service at the best value possible.”
