Several indicted by Morgan County Grand Jury

On Tuesday, September 2, the Morgan County Grand Jury, in its September term issued indictments on the following:
• Billy Hammock, no age, no address given, was indicted on two counts of criminal attempt to commit obtaining a controlled substance by forgery.

• On August 31 Jarvis Bernard Williams, 17, Madison, was arrested and charged with simple assault/ simple battery and disorderly conduct after he allegedly struck a man on Overlook Drive. Reports state that the man suffered an injury to an eye.

• On August 8 a theft by taking complaint was filed at a Pierce Dairy Road location after a man reported that someone had entered a barn and removed several pieces of steel I-beams, bar joists and pieces of angle iron.
