• On October 26 a larceny from auto complaint was filed at an Eatonton Road convenience store after a man reported that he had received a call from the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office informing him that the office had located his wallet in a purse stolen from a car at Cracker Barrel.
The man said he realized that his vehicle had been tampered with when he noticed that someone had damaged his key entry on the driver’s side door of his vehicle. The wallet was found in a purse that had been reported stolen. Nothing was reported missing from the wallet.
• On November 1 a criminal trespass complaint was filed at a Micha Way location after a man reported that someone had damaged his door while forcibly opening the door.
• On October 28 Brittney Nicole Richey, 18, Madison, was arrested and charged with obstructing a court order after she allegedly had come within 300 yards of a woman who had a protective order for stalking against Richey.
• On October 29 a larceny from mail complaint was filed at a Micha Way location after a man reported that his brother’s ex-girlfriend had moved out and had not returned a mailbox key. The complainant said that the woman and her mother had allegedly been stealing mail periodically.
• On October 28 a larceny from auto complaint was filed at an East Jefferson Street location after a woman reported that her wallet fell out of her purse and into her vehicle without her knowledge. The woman said she had left the vehicle unlocked and when she noticed her wallet she also noticed that her driver’s license, Social Security card and $130 were missing.
Man robbed at convenience store

A 30-year-old man was threatened with being shot before being robbed of his wallet last Sunday morning.
According to City of Madison Police Department reports, the man told authorities he was at the Chevron gas station on Eatonton Highway at approximately 12:30 a.m. when a black male wearing a grey hooded sweat shirt approached the man in the parking lot and asked for directions to Atlanta and $2.
The man said he entered the convenience store with the suspect, showed the suspect directions using an Atlas in the store, gave the man $2 and then exited the store.
Reports state that when the man and the suspect left the store, the suspect then followed the victim around the corner and threatened to shoot the complainant if he did not give him his wallet. The victim said he gave the man his wallet and the man fled to a red Honda. The victim said he asked the man to throw him his driver’s license and the man threw the entire wallet out of the car. The man said the suspect took $200 in $20 bills from him. The complainant said he then drove around Madison for approximately 40 minutes attempting to locate an officer. He located an officer on Georgia Highway 12. The officer asked the complainant why he had not called police and the complaint said he did not have a phone.

• On October 15 a larceny from an auto complaint was filed at a Larkmartin Street location after a woman reported that someone entered her unlocked Ford Explorer and removed a brown purse from the passenger’s side front seat. The purse contained $90 in cash, several Social Security cards, car keys and food stamps.
• On October 4 a larceny from a mailbox and forged check complaint was filed at a Skyline Drive location after a woman reported that she had placed three envelopes with checks in a mailbox. The envelopes contained bills the woman was paying. The complainant received a call that someone had found the envelopes on Atlanta Highway. The woman said one check for $77 had been removed from the envelope. She later discovered that someone had changed the amount of the check to $565.46 and that the check had been cashed at a Wal-Mart in Union, South Carolina.
• On October 14 a forgery complaint was filed at an Eatonton Road convenience store after a man reported that someone had entered the store and paid for two Mountain Dew sodas with a counterfeit $20 bill.
• On October 15 a burglary and damage to property complaint was filed at a Town Walk Circle location after a man reported that someone had damaged the rear door of a vacant house and entered another house through a window and removed a toilet, sink and mirror. Estimated cost of the stolen items is $1,000.
• On October 14 a larceny complaint was filed at an Eatonton Road motel after a woman reported that someone had entered her locked F-150 pickup truck and removed a Garmin GPS system and two LCD projectors.

• On October 10 two 16-year-old Greensboro youths were arrested and charged with underage possession of alcohol after officers responded to a noise complaint at the Budget Inn. According to reports, when officers arrived they observed several minors in the parking lot outside a room. Officers performed alcohol tests on all the youth in the parking lot outside a room and two tested positive and were arrested.
• On October 9 a larceny from building complaint was filed at an Eatonton Road Waffle House after a woman reported that $58.99 was missing from the cash register.
• On October 9 Crystal Louise Adams, 28, Patrick, S. C. was arrested and charged with DUI drugs, DUI, endangering a child, failure to maintain lane, possession of dangerous drugs, tampering with evidence, drugs not in original container and carrying drugs across a guard line. According to reports, a Madison officer responded to a complaint that a vehicle on Interstate 20 was weaving.
When the officer stopped the vehicle driven by Adams, reports state, Adams allegedly failed the field sobriety tests and the officer reported that during the field sobriety test Adams allegedly reached toward her crotch area several times. Also, reports state, a blue oval pill fell from her pants leg.
Reports state that a second blue pill fell from Adams’ pants leg. After Adams arrest, reports state, she was handcuffed with her hands in front but she unfastened her pants and placed her hands in her crotch area. She was handcuffed to the rear and continued to attempt to get her hands in her pants, reports state.

• On October 4 a larceny from residential mailbox complaint was filed at a Saye Creek Drive location after a man reported that someone had removed four checks totaling more than $290 from his mailbox. The checks were from the complainant’s personal account and written to several area businesses.
• On October 2 a larceny from auto complaint was filed at a Micha Way location after a woman reported that someone had entered her secured 1992 Chevrolet Cavalier and took a “Fuel” CD and an AM/FM radio. The radio was valued at $50.
• On September 30 a larceny complaint was filed at a Lakeview Circle location after a man reported that someone entered his unsecured garage and removed two mountain bikes. The bikes were Jackyl and Bandit brands with an estimate value of $200.
• On September 30 a 13-year-old male was detained and transported from a Levi Court location to the Sandersville Youth Detention Center after he allegedly struck his mother. Reports state that the mother reported that the family has had previous problems with the child.
• On October 1 Jeffrey Paul Moore, no age given, homeless, was arrested and charged with shoplifting and disorderly conduct after officers observed Moore allegedly intoxicated in the parking lot of the Dollar General Store. Reports state that officers observed Moore urinated outside the store. When they approached him they found that Moore had in his possession a grill that he had allegedly taken from the store. The grill was valued at $14.

• On September 22 Culer Marvin Bernard, 42, Conyers was arrested and charged with forgery and counterfeiting after he allegedly passed counterfeit $50 bills at at least three Madison businesses. According to reports, Bernard allegedly paid for $7.47 worth of items at Auto Zone with a counterfeit $50 and requested and received change for another counterfeit $50 bill. Bernard then allegedly paid for $6.20 in merchandise from Advance Auto and received change. Bernard then allegedly purchased $1.06 worth of merchandise from O’Reilly Auto Parts and received change. At O’Reilly Auto Parts, reports state Bernard requested that another $50 bill be broken but the clerk stated that the register did not have enough change to break down the bill. As Bernard was leaving O’Reilly Auto Parts the clerk received a call from a clerk at Advance Auto warning of the counterfeit bills. An O’Reilly employee then followed Bernard to Family Dollar Store where he then allegedly paid for deodorant with a counterfeit $50 bill. At this time officers had arrived to Family Dollar and made the arrest.
• On September 22 a forgery complaint was filed at an Eatonton Road towing service after a woman reported that someone had passed a counterfeit $50 bill to pay for services. The counterfeit bill was noticed when the business attempted to deposit the money in its’ bank.
