    • On July 14 Jean Linda Woodruff, 51, Madison, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct after she allegedly threw a shoe at a man and struck the man with an open hand. According to reports, Woodruff called officers to an Eatonton Road motel room to complain that her boyfriend would not allow her in the room.
    Reports state that the boyfriend told officers he had kicked Woodruff out of the room “until she sobered up” in order to prevent a fight. Woodruff told officers she could stay with a son.
    Officers offered her a ride to the son’s location but Woodruff requested the opportunity to retrieve her shoes from the motel room. As officers allowed her in the room she allegedly grabbed a shoe, threw it at her boyfriend and then slapped the boyfriend. She was then taken to the floor by an officer and arrested.

    • On July 9 a damage to property complaint was filed at a Micah Way location after a man reported that someone had burned several marks on the inside ceiling of a bus stop.

    • On July 8 a theft complaint was filed at the Madison Police Department after a man reported that someone had taken a U-Haul trailer he had left on Interstate 20. The man reported that he had been instructed to leave the trailer off the interstate after it had blown a tire. The man said U-Haul told him it would pick the trailer up later in the day but when representatives from U-Haul attempted to locate the trailer, it was gone.   

    • On July 17 a larceny complaint was filed at a Concord Lane location after a man reported that someone had taken a black and pine Next freestyle bicycle from his back porch. The value of the bike is approximately $30.

    • On July 9 a shoplifting complaint was filed at an Eatonton Road department store after a woman reported that a middle aged woman took a Glade plug-up refill (Hawaiian Breeze) and a Hawaiian Mist DG Home Oil warmer and an aerosol can of air freshener. According to reports the woman arrived at the store accompanied by a man in a blue SUV. The woman was wearing gray shorts and an orange shirt. Value of the items is $8.65.
    • On June 29 a burglar complaint was filed at a Bramblewood Drive location after a woman reported that someone had entered her bedroom and removed  two pink and blue Apple Ipods, a silver Ipod, an Acer laptop computer, a TracFone, A Sony Cybershot camera and a .410 shotgun. Value of the items taken is $2,195.
    • On July 8 a fraud complaint was filed at an East Jefferson Street location after a man reported that someone had used his checking account number to pay a Direct TV bill and a cell phone insurance bill. The man said he had not authorized either charge. A total of $165.25 was deducted from the account.
    On July 8 a larceny from auto complaint was filed at a Micha Way location after a woman reported that someone had taken her Coach purse from her unlocked vehicle. The woman reported that the purse contained $150 cash, EBT cards, a driver’s license,   Wal -Mart cards. Social Security cards and other documents.

                  On June 30 a fraud complaint was filed at the Madison Police Department after a woman reported  that after she had applied for a job she was told that her application was rejected because her Social Security number had been used by multiple persons.

    • On June 26 Robert Knighton Jasnau, Eatonton, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and interference with a business. According to reports, officers responded to a report of a fight in progress at the Travelodge. When an officer arrived, reports state, he observed two men fighting in the threshold of a room. The officer separated the men. Reports state that Jasnau was bloody and extremely intoxicated. The other man told officers that the fight was prompted by a disagreement regarding Jasnau’s ex-girlfriend, who was with the second man. Officers cited Jasnau at the scene but, reports state, because of his high level of intoxication he was not transported to the Morgan County Detention Center. He was strongly warned to stay in his room and an officer signed a criminal trespass warning for the motel effective upon Jasnau’s checkout the next morning. Jasnau refused medical treatment and returned to his room. Three hours later officers were called back to the motel because of a fight in progress at the same room with the same two men. At that point, reports state, Jasnau was cited a second time and was arrested and transported to the Morgan County Detention Center.
    • On June 23 a larceny complaint was filed at an Eatonton Road department store after a clerk at the store reported that someone had taken her purse from under a cash register. The woman reported that there was a prescription and a blank check in the purse.

    • On June 19 Marvin Lee Stone, 38, Madison, was arrested and charged with obstruction and possession of burglary tools after he allegedly fled from a traffic stop and was tackled by a Madison police officer. According to reports, the officer attempted to stop a white pickup truck at approximately 3 a.m. on Ramada Lane after he noticed a passenger in the vehicle was not wearing a seat belt. Consequent to the stop, reports state, the officer observed nine people in the truck. He requested back up and as back up was enroute Stone allegedly jumped from the passenger’s seat and attempted to flee into a wooded area. The officer was able to detain Stone but suffered an injury to his hand during the scuffle. Other officers and deputies arrived, reports state, and Stone continued to struggle until a deputy advised him that if he did not cease he would deploy his Taser. Stone was then transferred to the Morgan County Detention Center. The officer reported that consequent to his arrest he confiscated two flash lights, a utility knife, a Leatherman tool and pocket knife from Stone. He also noted in his report that there were three active arrest warrants for Stone. Stone was treated for a laceration at Morgan Memorial Hospital and results of a toxicology exam tested positive for Oxycodone and Amphetamine.
    • On June 9 a harassing communications report was filed at a Poplar Street location after a woman reported that her boyfriend’s ex-wife had called her and cursed her and that the woman had constantly driven by her Poplar Street house.
    The woman was contacted by officers and served with a criminal trespass warning and was told to cease making any contact with the complainant.

    • On June 9 Daniel Patrick Hahn, 20, Madison, was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana, possession of alcohol by a minor and open container after an officer stopped a vehicle Hahn was driving for taillight violations. According to reports, Hahn was stopped on Eatonton Road for a taillight violation. Following the stop, reports state, the officer noted the smell of both burnt and green marijuana coming from the vehicle. Hahn allegedly gave the officer a small bag of suspected marijuana. During a search of the vehicle the officer confiscated a small flask of suspected distilled alcohol in the vehicle.
    • On June 12 Dwaine Addell Rakestraw, 32, Madison was arrested and charged with possession of cocaine. Possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute, possession of cocaine in a drug free zone and driving with a suspended license. Accordiing to reports, an officer parked at the Golden Pantry parking lot on North Main Street observed Rakestraw driving. The officer noted that he had personal knowledge that Rakestraw’s license had been suspended. Following a traffic stop, reports state, the officer located nine or 10 suspected pieces of crack cocaine in a center console of Rakestraw’s vehicle.
