A 20–year–old Oxford, Ga. man died late Sunday night from complications suffered from a near–drowning incident at Hard Labor Creek State Park.

The Morgan County Board of Education met Monday following the first day of the school year last week to discuss changes that will affect this year’s 3,302 enrolled students and teachers as well as evaluate the beginning of this school year.
Be kind to animals week

Morgan County Co–Op continues planning

Members of the community who are interested in starting an agricultural cooperative in Morgan County met on July 31 at 6 p.m. to discuss plans for the creation of the co-op.
