Troops in Texas and Iraq will soon be on the receiving end of some encouragement and support from many Morgan County residents after they are given eight banners filled with signatures and DVDs of the Memorial Day festivities where the banners were signed.Â

The Boys and Girls Club of Madison-Morgan County plans to coordinate their athletic activities with the Morgan County Parks and Recreation Department, according to president of the board for the local chapter Harris Warbington.
"We are going to work diligently to coordinate our outside activity with the recreation department," Warbington said.

Although it wasÂ reported earlier this summer that Madisonâ€™s Eatonton Rd. Blockbuster location was getting ready to say its final goodbyes, it seems that the corporation has pulled the plug on the plan, allowing the video rental store to remain open for business indefinitely.Â
