Varsity, jv squads enter region play

On Thursday, September 18, the Morgan County Lady Dogs varsity volleyball team took to the floor of MCHS's new gym against Hart County marking the first region match of the season.

Losing both games by scores of 25-11 and 25-15, Morgan would find itself 0-1 in early region competition.

Stomp your feet, grab a seat and make some noise. The show is about to begin. 

The Morgan County High School Competition Cheerleaders are taking over Morgan County and hosting the first ever Bulldog Invitational in the new MCHS gym on Saturday, September 27, headed up by Varsity Cheerleading Coach Heather Jenkins.

Baton Twirling is being taught by Candy Byrd; coach of the University of Georgia Majorettes. Classes will meet once per week on Tuesdays in four week sessions. Class times for K-3rd grade is 3:45-4:45, 4th-8th grade 4:45-5:45. First class meets Tuesday September 2 in the Denon Building.

Bill Corry Stadium was under black out conditions last Friday night, but the Washington County Golden Hawks turned out the lights.

Lady Pups stretch record to 6-3

With a stretch of three consecutive victories, the Morgan County Middle School Lady Bullpup softball team moved their record to an impressive 6-3 on the season.

On Friday, September 5, the Lady Pups traveled to Greene County and stunned the Lady Cubs with a 15-0 victory.
