With the 2008-2009 season reaching its mid-point, the Morgan County Mat Dogs, headed up by third year head coach John Robbins, find themselves primed for second half action, and the bulk of their region competition.

The Morgan County Bulldogs, in their first tournament of season, took home a fourth place finish in the fourth annual Henry County Christmas Classic last week.

The Morgan County High School Mat Dogs hosted the Morgan County Christmas Classic wrestling tournament last weekend, where seven schools competed for top honors.
The Mat Dogs ended the two day tournament in third place, tallying a total of 209.5 points.
Bullpups defeat Loganville, Social Circle

The Morgan County Middle School Bullpups continue their winning ways entering the final stretch of the season.
A win over Loganville Middle School last Tuesday by a score of 31-28 was followed last Friday by a victory over Social Circle Middle School by a score of 45-14.
Lady Pups enter mid-season

The Morgan County Middle School Lady Bullpups entered the mid-season stretch last week, with games against Loganville Middle School and Social Circle Middle School.
Prior to those games, the Lady Pups found a winning streak with victories over rival Greene County Middle School and Monticello Middle School.
Dogs open region play 1-1

Everything up until Dec. 9 has been preparing the Morgan County Bulldogs for one thing, Region 8 AAA competition.
“We are in one of the toughest regions around, and all we can do is prepare the best we can,” Head Coach Charlemagne Gibbns said.
