To the Editor:
    Madison shines just a little brighter after this year’s “Great American Clean-Up.” Keep Morgan Beautiful would like to thank all the folks who came out last Saturday morning for a very productive cleanup. We owe a special thank you to the wonderful Cub Scouts, Madison Troop 91, and their families, who proved that  many hands make light work. What did our “Great American Clean-Up” produce? Approximately 600 pounds of ugly litter removed from downtown residential and commercial areas.
    In addition, several hundred pounds of paper, containers, cans scrap metal and a tire were recycled. We are especially pleased that we managed to make a positive difference by cleaning up some neglected areas. After the work was done, we enjoyed pizza and drinks complements of the City of Madison and Pizza Hut. On behalf of all those involved, we’re hoping that visitors and residents will enjoy Madison’s Spring Cleaning and help keep it litter free.
