Click. Click. Click. There’s no place like home. POOF! What the? Oh, but anyway, Petey, we’re home! Home! And, this is my room and my Morgan County and y’all are all here! I flat can’t believe it! Those sparkly ruby red slippers worked liked a lucky charm! I’m talkin’ magically delicious! And, what’s that peakin’ out from behind those rain clouds! It’s our very own Georgia sunshine! Ding dang, Momma! Your mug is half full so let me top it off with some fresh hot coffee! Hey and turn off CNBC ‘cause if I hear one more peep outta those straw-for-brains AIG executives I’m flat gonna spit fire in a dry hay field! I mean one AIG buffoon will lie and the other one’ll swear to it! Ok y’all! Time’s a wastin’! We’ve got a lot of Biz Buzz to cover so let’s go!

    Honey, go buy a new outfit, fix your hair and pop on your dancin’ shoes ‘cause TONIGHT there’s gonna be music on the green! Madison Mainstreet’s first Spring Concert on the Green is TONIGHT, Thursday, March 19 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in that beautiful park behind Madison Markets and Town 220! Local Morgan County band Britt Potts Bluegrass Band is gonna be pickin’ and a grinnin’! I flat can’t wait! Hey so call one of your favorite local Morgan County restaurants  and have ‘em put together a picnic supper, grab a blanket and get ready for some fab fun! Oh and honey Mainstreet Director Ann Huff says other dates for the Spring Concert Series are April 2, April 23, May 7 and May 21! Oh and y’all are flat gonna flip when you hear ‘bout the fun local bands she’s bookin’! Yeehaw! Oh and I nearly forgot!     Have your fill. Yay! It’s nearly time for my most fave event! I mean none other than the annual Taste of Madison, a fundraiser benefitin’ our very own local Madison-Morgan Chamber of Commerce! Ok so Andy Williams over at the Chamber wanted me to remind y’all that this year is the event’s 10th anniversary! Honey, this event is a blast, plus you get to sample fabulous food from your favorite local restaurants! Oh and don’t forget the super-fun silent auction! Hey! It all starts next Thursday, March 26 at the Madison-Morgan Cultural Center Hall from 5:50 p.m. until 8 p.m.! Tickets are $20 per person and $5 for kids ages 6 to 12. Kids 5 and under get in free!
