Peak Banking. Ain’t nothin’ free ‘bout this market baby! That’s ‘cause your tax dollars are at work nationalizin’ Bear Sterns, Freddie and Fannie and maybe even A.I.G.! Whoa! Hang on ‘cause this flight’s done hit some turbulence and we’re droppin’ fast and long! Consumer prices are fallin’ with oil and overnight interest rates spiked 50 percent! Lehman Brothers Holding’s is a goner! Stewardess! Do they serve double martinis on this flight? A.I.G., one of the world’s largest insurers, is teeterin’ on total destruction threaten’ to hit the world’s $60 trillion, unregulated credit default swap market! Wall Street’s done been transformed into Hieronymus Bosch’s nightmarish painting and I ain’t talkin’ ‘bout the one he did of Paradise! Honey now y’all have an idea of what my personal checkin’ account looks like!
That’s why I’m dealin’ in cash only honey! Yeah! At least that’s how I roll since my scandalous personal bankin’ brouhaha. So all I’ve gotta do now is figure out where to spend my cash! And honey Frannie Kimsey and Jennifer Hendrix of Inside Design located at 244 West Washington St., at Madison Markets have just the thing. They’ve branched out beyond interior design and into bling! Original, one-of-a-kind jewelry pieces are all the rage! I mean, don’t y’all just wanna smack those copycats where the sun don’t shine? Well listen up: If you buy a piece from Inside Design, it will be as original as your ding dang finger prints! Anyway, Frannie and Jennifer have been designin’ jewelry for more than a year and y’all are gonna flip when you see their stuff! Frannie says they go for an organic look and use only quality materials . . . like 14K and 18K gold and sterling silver as well as fabulous stones like turquoise, jade, aqua marine, smoky quartz, topaz, fresh water pearls, opals, agate, rubies, emeralds and more! Honey these girls will design whatever catches your fancy! My favorite pieces are the one-of-a-kind gold necklaces and earrings . . . with each gold link painstakingly handcrafted and the finished piece touched off with a beautiful stone. Y’all head over there today and check it all out! Oh and don’t leave empty handed ‘cause Momma always likes a sweet prize!
Berryman’s Service Station located at 244 South Main St., across the street from the fabulous Morgan County Citizen newspaper office, is back in business! Owner Dave Berryman says his gas and diesel prices are flat competitive with Ingles, RaceTrac and anybody else in Morgan County! The best part is that Dave’s station is right smack in the middle of downtown Madison! Plus Berryman’s Service Station is a one-of-a-kind station, ‘cause he still offers full service, tire repair, oil changes and a good old fashioned car wash featurin’ elbow grease technological! Ain’t nobody but Berryman’s doin’ that honey! Y’all get over there today and fill-er-up!
Hold the phone! Madison Main Street Director Ann Huff just called and wanted me to tell y’all ‘bout the last Concert on the Green on Thursday Sept. 25 in the park behind Town 220 from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m.! The best part is that this concert is free, free, free! The other best part is that this concert will feature Morgan County’s very own local band: The Barefoot Hookers! Honey that are flat fab! And, don’t worry Momma! This band is PG13! Ok so anyway Ann says she’s still lookin’ for a few $50 sponsors so if you’re interested y’all give her a call at 706-342-1251 extension 6 and Show Her The Money!
That’s a wrap! Y’all remember to send me the buzz on biz at pdyost@aol.com and put Biz Buzz in the subject line so I won’t delete you! Hey and y’all remember to head over to the Fall Kitchen Tour sponsored by the Madison-Morgan County Chamber of Commerce this weekend Sept. 19 and 20! It’s gonna be a blast! And, don’t forget to bring Momma and Memaw! Ok! Y’all be real sweet, play nice in the boardroom, don’t do no cheatin’ or stealin’ and I’ll see all y’all next week: Same time. Same Number One Weekly Newspaper in the Great State of Georgia!
