Congratulations to all the graduating seniors
By Margie Ward
On Sunday morning a good attendance was present with some visitors and we were blessed to have them visit with us today. We pray they also received a blessing and will feel welcome to come be with us at any time that we have services.
We congratulate all seniors graduating from Morgan County and other area schools. We recognized Veronica Simmonds in our morning service. She will graduate on Friday night from MCHS and she was presented a Bible from the church by Pastor Ron. The choir special was “He Has Made Me Glad”; special music, “God Puts the Pieces Together” by Barbara Sims. We had Gideon speaker Steve Blanton with us Sunday. He used many scriptures, some were Isaiah 55: 11, Acts 15: 4, Rev. 21: 27, they distribute many Bibles through the Gideons in more than 187 countries including schools, universities, hospitals, motels, etc., some military chaplains are given Bibles to give to the soldiers, God’s word is there wherever you go, it has kept many people from doing things of harm to them or someone else. They ask we all continue to pray they will be able to continue to spread God’s word through this ministry.
