The Tractor Supply Company will be coming to Madison as early as June 2008.
Construction on the Tractor Supply Company began on December 17, 2007. The new store will be 19,097 square feet and will be located at 2220 Eatonton Highway. The Madison store will be equipped with a sales floor, support service space, and a fenced exterior space for storage and display items.
Tractor Supply Company operates over 764 stores in 38 states. Before this location was built, the nearest Tractor Supply Company was in Covington.
The Tractor Supply Company offers a wide variety of products for local farmers and merchants. The company originated in Minot, North Dakota, serving farmers and ranchers in that area. The company still tries to uphold these services.
From work clothing for the family to light truck equipment, the Tractor Supply Company will bring a store to Madison that would be used often. The store also sells agricultural products, tools and hardware, and supplies for raising livestock, horses, and pets.
The contractor for the project is W. R. Newman of Nashville Tenn. The tentative date of completion is June 2008.
