The Morgan County High School boys and girls  tennis teams each picked up a region win last Tuesday at Washington-Wilkes.
"Both the guys and girls teams are making strides toward putting the pieces together to gain success," said Morgan County Coach Jim Fowler. "We still need to maximize our practices in order to see greater production in our matches.
The boys team won all of their matches 8-0 except for Daniel Smith who won his second singles match 8-1 and Dillon Moore and Blake Brand won second doubles 8-1.
The girls' victory was closer, but they were able to win by picking up victories in all their singles matches.
Courtney Perry won first singles 8-2, Lauren Lindsey won second singles 8-6 and Mary Helen Trulock won third singles 8-1.
The teams take on Hart County on Tuesday, April 1 in Madison.
