Thirty-four neighbors and friends of the Fairview Community met at the home of Bobby and Emily Brewer Friday evening.
After a delicious covered dish dinner everyone enjoyed a time of fellowship with friends and listened to several groups of talented musicians, both vocal and instrumental. The evening ended with everyone participating in an old-fashioned gospel sing and anxiously awaiting the next gathering.
Carolyn Sweeney is recuperating at home following knee surgery.
Marie Singleton and Brenda Morris enjoyed a trip to Indianapolis, Indiana last weekend.
Mary Nell Hayes has been a patient in Morgan Memorial Hospital.
Nita Huff is recuperating following hip replacement.
On Saturday, March 1 a 90th birthday luncheon for Hattie Mina Hicky was held at O’Hara Restaurant hosted by her son Stratton and his wife Bonnie. Attending were Hattie Mina’s husband Dan, her daughter Mina and her granddaughters, Morgan and Dana.
On Sunday, which was her actual birthday, a luncheon was held at the Blue Willow in Social Circle attended by Dan, Mildred and Sabin Laundry, Mina and Mina’s friend Hal DeHaan.
